There is a definitive test that ACC has to accept that will show spinal injury as a result of an accident.

This test is definitive for people with cervical, thoracic and lumbar injuries applying for lumpsum/independence allowance.

It may well prove beneficial to any claimant with a spinal injury in establishing % of injury.

From the AMA guidelines 2004.

Just ask your GP to arrange an x-ray report measuring the compression ratio of the affected joints pertinent to your injuries.. ie C2,C4,L2,L3,T3,T5 etc.

It has also been noted that ACC do not like and have often denied claimants this test. Appeal that decision!
